Dr. Greg Barmer
Dr. Gregory Barmer began his ministry at FBC in May 1995 as the Minister of Music. He is a graduate of East Carolina University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Institute of Worship Studies. He and his wife Lisa are the parents of two children, Sarah and Andrew. Greg is an active pianist and choral conductor in the community. He has a special interest in worship renewal and meaningful worship experiences for our congregation.
God began calling him to a new type of ministry over the last few years and simultaneously the church felt lead to call him as Pastor. This is truly a God story that has just begun and we look forward to where God leads us together. Greg was Commissioned and Installed as Pastor on Feb. 18, 2018
Rev. Jesse Davis
Jesse Davis (42) grew up in Washington. He has served prior at First Baptist Pinehurst. He completes his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary this summer (2019). Jesse enjoys leading multigenerational musical worship in all its variety. Besides being an accomplished pianist, he has taught many talented young musicians. His propensity for teaching is not limited to music, as it is biblically, historically and culturally informed. One of his favorite books is Counter Culture and a favorite song is Living Hope. He is married to Leslie Davis, and their children Victoria, John and Thomas are ages 5, 9 & 16.
Mrs. Joy Stallings
Mrs. Joy Stallings is our Director of Children's Ministry and Outreach. She and her husband Chase have lived in Washington for almost ten years and are actively involved at First Baptist and in the community. Joy has a heart for ministry. She has a desire to work with First Baptist and the Children's Ministry as we love, lead, and teach the importance of reaching outside the church walls to bring the love of Christ to others. Joy and Chase have two children, Hope and Hundley.
The Primera Iglesia Bautista Alpha & Omega is a mission of First Baptist Church, Washington, NC. Alpha Y Omega called Rev. Indalecio Treviño as their new pastor in August 2016.
